Procedure

  1. 1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Flushing page 05-05.
  2. 2. Remove the engine cooling fan.
  3. 3. Remove the drive belt. For additional information, refer to Fan Drive Belt page 05-12.
  4. 4. Remove the water pump pulley (8509). • Remove the water pump pulley. 1
  5. 5. Remove the water pump bolts.
  6. 6. Remove the (A) water pump from the (B) cylinder block. • Clean and inspect the mating surfaces.
