Procedure

  1. 1.
  2. Drain the cooling system. For additional
  3. information, refer to Cooling System Draining,
  4. Filling and Flushing page 05-05.
  5. 2.
  6. Remove the engine cooling fan.
  7. 3.
  8. Remove the drive belt. For additional information,
  9. refer to Fan Drive Belt page 05-12.
  10. 4.
  11. Remove the water pump pulley (8509).
  12. • Remove the water pump pulley.

  15. Remove the water pump bolts.
  16. 6.
  17. Remove the (A) water pump from the (B) cylinder
  18. block.
  19. • Clean and inspect the mating surfaces.
