Before you start

  • Always attach the machine to a winch when loading or unloading from a truck or trailer.
  • To avoid damaging the unit, the platform MUST NOT be tied to the trailer bed in any way.

Procedure

  1. Enter the platform and start the engine using the platform controls; select the OPERATING engine speed.
  2. Raise the boom to allow greater ground clearance so the platform clears obstacles.
  3. Using a winch, carefully drive the machine onto the truck or trailer.
  4. Lock the superstructure to the undercarriage by installing the lock pin provided.
  5. Ensure the boom is fully retracted and the platform will not contact any other object.
  6. Disconnect the negative battery cables for long distance transport; close the fuel and hydraulic reservoir valves.
  7. Tie down using four (4) 1/2 inch Grade 7 chains from each of the tie down lugs; ratchet type load binders are recommended.
