Before you start

  • Perform tilt alarm switch leveling procedure a minimum of every six months.

Procedure

  1. Park machine on a flat, level surface; ensure machine is level and tires at rated pressure.
  2. Level the indicator base by tightening three flange nuts through about half spring travel; do not adjust the X nut.
  3. Slowly tighten one Y nut until the circuit closes and the platform console light illuminates.
  4. Slowly back off the nut, counting turns, until the circuit closes and the light illuminates again.
  5. Tighten the nut half the counted turns so the line between this nut and the X nut is parallel to the ground.
  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for the remaining Y nut.
  7. Push down one corner at a time; switch should trip in all three tests. If not, loosen X nut and repeat.
