Procedure

  1. Park the machine on a flat, level surface.
  2. Level the base of the alarm by tightening each of the three flange nuts to take up approximately one half of its spring's travel.
  3. Do not adjust the nut on the 90 degree corner during the remainder of the adjustment procedure.
  4. Slowly tighten the nut on one of the two corners adjacent to the 90 degree corner until the LED just turns on; note the position of the nut.
  5. Loosen the nut counting the number and fraction of turns until the LED lights up again; divide that number by two and tighten the nut by this number.
  6. Adjust the nut on the other corner adjacent to the 90 degree corner in the same manner.
  7. Test the tilt alarm for proper function.
