Before you start
- Solvents toxic and flammable
- Seal not for operation above 110F
Procedure
- Inspect seal liner (47) bore for wear
- If replacement needed, use press and new sleeve to replace
- Slide seal plate onto shaft against intermediate
- Align lubrication hole with intermediate opening
- Temporarily secure seal plate with capscrews and nuts
- Clean seal cavity and shaft with solvent
- Lubricate packing rings and seal liner
- Slide seal spacer washer onto shaft with chamfered side facing shoulder
- Position inboard rotating element and slide until fully seated
- Subassemble and press inboard stationary seat, packing ring, spring washer into liner
- Install spacer sleeve and spring
- Subassemble and press outboard stationary seat, packing ring, spring washer into liner
- Install outboard rotating element with chamfered side facing impeller
- Reinstall automatic grease cup and piping (44, 45, 46)

- 1/4 inch hole diameter
- No. 2 lithium base grease
