Procedure

1. Place a drip pan under the filter.
2. Unscrew the filter from the adapter fitting.
3. Clean the adapter filter recess.
4. Coat the gasket on the replacement filter with oil.
5. Position the filter on the adapter fitting; hand tighten until the gasket contacts the adapter face, then advance it 1/2 turn.
6. Operate the engine at fast idle and check for oil leaks; check oil level and fill crankcase as required.
