Procedure
- Install belt tension tool on drive belt and check tension.
- If adjustment is necessary, loosen alternator mounting bolts and adjusting arm bolts.
- Move alternator toward or away from engine until correct tension is obtained; remove gauge.
- Tighten alternator adjusting arm bolt and mounting bolts.
- Install tension gauge and recheck belt tension.
