Ford IC-200 — Stowing Boom Extension
Operation
For the Ford IC-200, from the Ford owner's manual.
Applies to: Ford CSG-649 engine
Before you start
- Remove boom extension from base boom when using work platform or personnel buckets
Procedure
- Lower boom to horizontal and retract booms fully
- Remove cable retaining pins at outer end of boom extension, remove cable from sheave and replace pins
- Uncouple anti-two-block cable and remove 1 inch pins from left side of boom
- Swing boom extension 170 degrees to right alongside base boom and pin to base boom
- Stow removed pins in outside lugs of boom extension
- Swing tip end inward and pin to base boom
- Install cable in main boom sheave
- Main boom is now ready for normal crane use
