Procedure
- Install a new engine front cover gasket on the engine front cover, then position the cover on the dowels.
- Tighten the fasteners in two stages: Stage 1 fasteners 1 through 5 to 20-30 Nm; Stage 2 fasteners 6 through 15 to 40-55 Nm.
- Tighten the bolts through the front of the oil pan in two stages: Stage 1 to 20 Nm; Stage 2 an additional 60 degrees.
- Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
- Install the water pump pulley.
- Connect the CMP electrical connector.
- Install a new crankshaft front seal and the crankshaft pulley.
- Install the drive belt.
- Install the valve covers.
- Fill the engine with oil meeting Ford specification D9AZ-19579A.
