Procedure
- Remove flywheel attaching bolts, flywheel, and rear cover plate.
- Punch two holes in seal on opposite sides.
- Install a sheet metal screw in each hole.
- Pry against both screws to remove seal.
- Clean oil seal recess in block and main bearing cap.
- Coat new seal and crankshaft with engine oil.
- Install seal with tool until tool contacts block surface.
