Before you start
- Apply pressure on the alternator front housing only when tightening the belt
Procedure
- Loosen the alternator mounting bolt to a snug position and loosen the adjusting arm bolts.
- Apply pressure on the alternator front housing only and tighten the adjusting arm to alternator bolt.
- Check belt tension using tool T63L-8620-A and adjust for specified tension.
- Tighten all mounting bolts.
