Procedure
- Remove the pump casing drain plug (29) and drain the pump; clean and reinstall the drain plug.
- Remove the suction piping.
- Remove the nuts (33) and separate the suction flange and gasket (31 and 34) from the pump casing (1).
- Disengage the machine screw (35) and pull the check valve seat (30), gasket (42), and check valve assembly (36) from the suction port.
- Inspect the check valve parts for wear or damage.
- If replacement is required, remove the hardware (37 and 38) and separate the check valve (39) and weights (40 and 41).
