Procedure
- Inspect the impeller and replace it if cracked or badly worn.
- Slide the same thickness of impeller adjusting shims (49) as previously removed onto the shaft.
- Screw the impeller on until tight.
- Measure the clearance between the impeller and the seal plate and add or remove shims until .020 to .040 inch is reached.
