Before you start
- Note order of cylinders when removing and installing
- Do not damage roller tappet
- Assignment of injection pump to roller tappet must be observed
Procedure
- Remove injection lines per job card W 07-03-01.
- Remove fuel lines per job card W 07-10-06.
- Loosen locking screw (1). Note: The locking screw must be unscrewed for later locking of the injection pump.
- Unscrew nuts evenly, remove injection pump and compensation gaskets. Put down components in order of installation.
- Pull out roller tappet using suitable tool (e.g., outside locking pliers). Do not damage the roller tappet.
- Unscrew cap and remove sealing ring.
- Move control linkage to mid position (ignition off, stop magnet free).
- Turn in setting bolt to stop.
- Turn crankshaft until cam for the respective injection pump is standing on cam basic circuit.
- Oil lightly and insert the roller tappet, ensuring guide pin engages in groove.
- Determine thickness of shim gasket per job card W 07-06-03.
- Select and mount appropriate compensation gasket with recess facing the flywheel.
- Pull out locking pin with gasket.
- Unscrew cap and remove sealing ring.
- Insert marking pin in bore of injection pump (do not press in completely).
- Position center punch point on regulating sleeve underneath the marking pin tip.
- Position marking pin tip in center punch point and clamp clamping bracket.
- Insert injection pump centrally into long holes and press to stop.
- Tighten nuts.
- Loosen clamping bracket and pull out marking pin.
- Press in locking pin with gasket to stop.
- Tighten cap with new CU sealing ring.
- Unscrew setting bolt.
- Tighten locking screw with new CU sealing ring.
- Check beginning of pumping if necessary per job card W 07-06-04.
- Install fuel lines per job card W 07-10-06.
- Install injection lines per job card W 07-03-01.

- Marking pin 101 100
- Setting bolt
- Outside locking pliers
