Before you start
- This is very important, because the impeller can quickly be damaged.
Procedure
- Close the seawater valve.
- Remove the cover of the seawater pump by loosening the 4 wing screws.
- Remove the impeller from the shaft by means of multi grip pliers.
- Mark the impeller to ensure correct position on re-installation.
- Check the impeller for damage and replace if necessary.
- Lubricate the impeller with glycerine or a non-mineral oil based lubricant (e.g. silicone spray).
- Attach the impeller to the pump shaft (check marking if re-used).
- Fasten the cover and use a new seal.
