Before you start
- Do not open cooling water pump de-aerating screw while generator runs.
Procedure
- Ensure generator is stagnant.
- Check external expansion tank connected and at least 600 mm above exhaust elbow union.
- Open de-aerating screw at cooling water pump.
- Open de-aerating screw at thermostat housing.
- Fill coolant at filler neck until level stops falling.
- Close filler cap and de-aerating screws.
- Start generator and run 5 minutes.
- Repeat de-aeration two to three times.
- Refill external expansion tank only to max 20% cold.
- Repeat after several days.
