Procedure

  1. Unscrew valve cover.
  2. Rotate crankshaft until valve to be adjusted is fully open.
  3. Rotate crankshaft 360°; valve is then closed.
  4. Check valve clearance with feeler gauge; cold clearance 0.145 to 0.185 mm.
  5. Adjust with rocker arm screw; loosen counter nut first; retighten after adjustment.
  6. Repeat for other valves; refit valve cover and tighten screws.
