Before you start

  • Contact with muffler could cause burns

Procedure

  1. Inspect muffler for cracks, corrosion, or damage
  2. Loosen spark arrester clamp, remove cover, remove spark arrester with thin blade screwdriver
  3. Carefully remove carbon deposits from spark arrester screen with wire brush
  4. Replace spark arrester if damaged, using FIRMAN OEM parts only
  5. Position spark arrester in muffler and attach cover with screws
