Before you start

  • Contact with muffler area could cause burns

Procedure

  1. Remove maintenance cover, inspect muffler for cracks/corrosion/damage
  2. Loosen spark arrester screws, remove cover, remove spark arrester with a thin blade screwdriver
  3. Carefully remove carbon deposits from spark arrester screen with a wire brush
  4. Replace spark arrester if damaged, using FIRMAN OEM parts only
  5. Position spark arrester in muffler and attach with screws
