Procedure

  1. Do not open the vent screws (a) when the fuel system is being primed, as diesel fuel will be discharged.
  2. With fuel supply from the base tank, operate the priming switch for the standard pre-set 2 minute priming cycle.
  3. Start engine.
  4. In the event of a failure to start within 3 crank cycles, see the troubleshooting section for the repeat prime procedure.
  5. With fuel supply from a remote tank, ensure fuel lines are full of fuel and the pump is never run when bulk tanks are empty or valves are closed.
  6. The PowerWizard panel can prime via MAIN MENU > CONTROL > ENGINE FUEL PRIMING; press the right cursor key to initiate a 2 minute priming cycle.
  7. Press the left cursor key to exit the priming cycle.
