Before you start
- Ensure that the engine is stopped before any servicing or repair is performed.
Procedure
- Ensure the area around the cap on the DEF tank is clean. Remove cap (1).
- Using a suitable tool, press the tabs (2) to release them and remove the filter screen (3) from the DEF tank neck adapter (4).
- Clean the filter screen in clean water and dry using compressed air.
- If the filter screen cannot be cleaned or is damaged, it must be replaced.
- Install filter screen (3) into the DEF tank neck adapter (4), ensure tabs (2) are located correctly, then install cap (1).
