GHAB — ENGINE DIVIDER
For the GHAB.
Procedure
- Remove the rear panel of the housing (see Re- moving and Installing the Housing Panels in this section).
- Remove B+ battery cable from starter and B- battery cable from engine.
- Disconnect plugs P2 and P4 of the control har- ness (Figure 5-2).
- Disconnect the five leads of the governor con- troller board (Figure 10-1).
- Disconnect the B+ lead from the voltage regu- lator.
- Disconnect the flexible fuel supply line from the carburetor for NG or LPG vapor fuel systems or from the LPG converter for LPG liquid fuel sys- tems.
- Remove the generator bond strap from the skid base.
- Remove the two engine vibration isolator cen- ter-bolts.
- Remove the four screws that secure the alter- nator support bracket to the skid base.
- Slowly turn the engine/generator counter- clockwise, taking care not too apply tension to the wires of the alternator harness.
- Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly. Torque the center-bolts of the vibration isola- tors to 30-35 lb-ft (41-47 N-m) and the alterna- tor support bracket screws to 25-35 lb-ft (34-47 N-m). BATTERY CABLES
