Before you start
- Never start or run engine with air filter removed
Procedure
- Release the clips on top and bottom of the cover and move the filter cover to access the element
- Remove the sponge-like elements from the casing
- Wash the sponge-like elements in household dish detergent and warm water
- Pat dry on a dry cloth and allow elements to dry completely
- Soak the dry elements in a small amount of engine oil and ring out excess oil
- Replace the sponge-like elements in the air cleaner casing and replace the cover
