Procedure

1. Make sure the generator is on a level surface
2. Remove the oil cover
3. Unscrew the oil filler/dipstick cap
4. Wipe the oil off the stick with a dry cloth
5. Insert the dipstick as if replacing the cap and remove it again to check oil
6. Add oil if level is low
7. Replace the cap when finished
