Before you start
- Do not obstruct ventilation openings; keep generator in a cool dry area
Procedure
- Turn breaker OFF and run generator for 3-5 minutes
- Shut fuel valve OFF and run engine dry until it stalls
- Turn the battery switch OFF
- Empty the gas tank
- Drain the carburetor via drain bolt
- Remove spark plug, add 2 tablespoons of 10W-30 motor oil into spark plug hole, pull recoil to lubricate cylinder, reinstall spark plug
- Remove the generator battery and place on a 12V battery tender indoors
