Low Voltage Alternator - 4 poles — Diode Bridge Replacement

For the Low Voltage Alternator - 4 poles.

Procedure

  1. Remove the air ducts (3)
  2. Cut the fixing clamps of the exciter cables, disconnect E+, E- from the exciter
  3. Disconnect T1 to T6 from the terminal block (124)
  4. Remove the nuts on the tie rods (37)
  5. Remove the NDE bracket (36) using a puller: eg. U.32 - 350 (Facom)
  6. Unsolder the connections
  7. Check the bridge using an ohmmeter or a battery lamp
  8. Replace the bridges, respecting the polarity
  9. Resolder the connections
  10. Fit a new O ring seal in the bracket
  11. Refit the NDE bracket
  12. Connect T1 to T6 from the terminal block (124)
  13. Replace the fixing clamps on the cables
  14. Replace the air ducts (3)

  • U.32 - 350 Puller (Facom)
