Procedure

  1. Preheat approx. 1 minute with heater plug/starter switch in position 1.
  2. A distinct warming up of the heating tube close to the electric line connection must be felt by hand.
  3. For flame-type heater plug, heater plug indicator must brightly light up.
  4. To check fuel supply, loosen pipe coupling of flame-type heater plug by a few turns.
  5. Without preheating, switch at once to position 2 to turn engine by starter motor; fuel must emerge at slackened pipe connection.
  6. If no fuel emerges, remedy in shop.
  7. If engine fails to start despite fuel emerging, remove flame-type heater plug and check for free flow.
