Before you start
- With the start/stop lever pulled, the speed control lever must be in idling position; otherwise starting is impossible.
Procedure
- Disengage the clutch.
- With speed control lever in idling position, pull start/stop lever to first detent (2/3) and hold.
- Insert starter key, turn clockwise to first detent and check charging pilot lamp lights.
- Push key in deeper and turn farther clockwise against spring pressure; release key as engine starts firing.
- For heater plug/starter switch: insert switch box key and turn to position 2; release key as engine starts firing.
- Hold start/stop lever until engine fires smoothly, in idling position.
- Release start/stop lever, then move speed control lever to full-throttle position.
