Deutz — Removal and Refitment of Air Compressor

Procedure
- Remove outer V-belt half-pulley together with shims.
- Remove V-belt.
- Remove shims and inner V-belt half-pulley.
- Take down lube oil pipe.
- Remove air compressor.
- Insert new O-seal, using grease.
- Fit air compressor in place, as indicated by arrow.
- Tighten bolts.
- Fit lube oil pipe together with new Cu sealing rings.
- Position inner V-belt half-pulley.
- Position removed shims.
- Fit V-belt and outer V-belt pulley.
- Position remaining shims, if provided. Finger start the bolts.
- Tighten bolts while turning engine over.
- Check belt tension. In case of failure to attain the specified scale reading, repeat procedure.
Tools required
- V-belt tension gauge, Part No. 91107
Specs & torque values
- V-belt tension: tension of new belt 510 (scale reading)
- retension after 20 min: 410 (scale reading)
