Detroit Diesel — Install Blower Drive Support Assembly (8V-53)
Installation
From a Detroit Diesel service manual — check it applies to your exact model before use.
Procedure
- Affix a new blower drive support gasket to forward face of support.
- Place support over two dowel pins in blower rear end plate and against gasket.
- Install six bolts, lock washers, plain washers and one socket head bolt.
- Tighten bolts to 20-24 lb-ft torque.
