Before you start

  • Do not tighten injector clamp bolt to more than 20-25 lb-ft (27-34 Nm) torque, as this may cause moving parts of injector to bind

Procedure

  1. Note position of exhaust valve bridge before, during and after tightening rocker shaft bracket bolts
  2. Do not tighten injector clamp bolt to more than 20-25 lb-ft (27-34 Nm)
  3. Tighten rocker shaft bolts to 50-55 lb-ft (68-75 Nm) torque
  4. Align fuel pipes and connect them to injector and fuel connectors
  5. Use socket J 8932-01 and torque wrench for proper tightening

Tools required

  • Torque wrench
  • Socket J 8932-01

Specs & torque values

  • 20-25 lb-ft (27-34 Nm) injector clamp
  • 50-55 lb-ft (68-75 Nm) rocker shaft bolts
