Installation
From a Detroit Diesel service manual — check it applies to your exact model before use.
Procedure
- Attach the fuel heat exchanger to the DDEC-ECU; tighten bolts to 8 N·m (6 lb·ft).
- Connect the fuel lines using new seal rings; tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb·ft).
- Close the hood.
- Connect the batteries.
- Prime the fuel system (refer to 11.1.5).
Specs & values
- Heat exchanger mounting bolts: 8 N·m (6 lb·ft)
- Fuel lines: 50 N·m (37 lb·ft)
