Procedure
- Support injector upright in holding fixture J 22396; remove filter caps, gaskets and filters.
- Compress follower spring; raise above stop pin and withdraw pin.
- Remove plunger follower, plunger and spring as assembly.
- Loosen nut on injector body using socket J 4983-01.
- Lift injector nut straight up; remove spray tip and valve parts.
- Remove spill deflector; lift bushing from body.
- Turn body upside down and catch gear retainer and gear.
- Withdraw control rack; remove and discard seal ring.
