Procedure
- Install main bearing caps in block and torque bolts with hardened washers to 120-130 lb-ft.
- Check minimum interference fit between main bearing block saddle and caps.
- Maintain all bores concentric within .001 in TIR.
- Use dowel locating holes at each end of right pan rail for critical dimensions.
- Bore standard or oversize main bearing bores as shown in table.
- Stamp all main bearing caps to show oversize amount.
