Detroit Diesel — Clean Injector Parts

Procedure
- Wash all parts with suitable solvent and dry with clean filtered compressed air.
- Use lint-free towels to wipe parts.
- Clean out passages, drilled holes and slots.
- Soak spray tip in suitable solution approximately 15 minutes to loosen carbon.
- Clean spray tip with tool J 24838 or J 1243 and clean orifices with proper wire.
- Clean injector body passages with brushes J 8152 and J 8150.
- Ream injector body ring bore with reamer J 21089.
- Ream injector nut seat with reamer J 4986-01 or J 9418-5.
