Procedure
- Secure body in vise J 22396-1.
- Insert new filter(s) in top of body; dimple end down, slotted end up for current filter.
- Place new gasket on each filter cap; lubricate threads and install filter caps; tighten to specified torque.
- Lubricate injector nut seal ring installer J 29197 with test oil; place over body threads.
- Lubricate new seal ring and place over installer nose onto body shoulder.
- Remove protector; slide control rack into body.
- Align marked teeth and install gear and gear retainer.
- Install bushing, spill deflector, valve parts, check valve, spray tip and nut.
- Tighten injector nut to specified torque.
- Install follower spring, stop pin, plunger and follower.
