Before you start
- Seal oil inlet and outlet with tape when disassembling
Procedure
- Disassemble turbocharger from the engine and seal oil inlet and outlet with tape
- Shift turbine shaft in axial direction and measure with dial gauge
- Measure rotor circumference direction end play
- Replace or repair turbocharger if end plays exceed limits

- Axial direction wear limit 0.20 mm
- Circumference direction wear limit 0.65 mm
