Before you start
- Don't forget tightening the drain plug after having drained engine oil.
Procedure
- Drain engine oil by loosening about 15 mm (0.6 in.) the drain plug on the filter head.
- Loosen the oil filter by turning it counter-clockwise with a filter wrench.
- With a rag wipe clean the fitting face of the filter body and the oil filter body.
- Lightly oil the O-ring and turn the oil filter until sealing face is fitted against the O-ring.
- Turn 1-1/4 turns further with the filter wrench.
