Before you start
- Entry of water into the alternator leads electrolyte corrosion causing an alternator failure.
Procedure
- The polarity of the alternator is negative grounding type; an inverted circuit connection results the alternator failure.
- Do not put water directly on the alternator.
- When the battery is charged with an external electric source, be sure to disconnect the battery cables.

- Electrical system: 12 or 24 volt system, negative grounding type
