Procedure
- Provide at least 6 inches (152 mm) clearance between either end of the genset and a bulkhead or other equipment.
- Provide an opening of at least 200 square inches of free open area in the generator end of the compartment.
- If the space between the radiator and an enclosure wall is greater than 1/4 inch (6.4 mm), close it off to prevent air recirculation.
- Duct generator cooling and engine combustion air from outside the compartment using the factory duct kit (duct adapter box adds 2.28 inches (58 mm) to genset length).
- Install the coolant recovery tank in accordance with the kit instructions.
