Before you start

  • Continuous generator set overloading can cause high operating temperatures that can damage the generator windings.
  • At temperatures of 40 F (4 C) and below, disconnect all loads before attempting to start the generator set.

Procedure

  1. Push the start-stop switch to START at the set control or remote control; release when the set starts.
  2. Allow unit to warm up before connecting a load.
  3. Apply loads; keep the load within the nameplate rating.
  4. To stop, remove all loads and run three to five minutes to cool down.
  5. Push the start-stop switch to the STOP position.
