Cummins/Onan — SPEED ADJUSTMENT NUT

For these Cummins/Onan models: BGD, NHD.

Procedure

  1. Air filter assembly
  2. Carburetor
  3. Intake manifold
  4. Fuel filter
  5. Air preheater
  6. Air cleaner housing
  7. Air filter
  8. Air cleaner adapter
  9. Remove the crankcase breather hose and air pre-
  10. Remove the air cleaner housing center capscrew
  11. For sets prior to Spec F, remove the choke cover
  12. For sets prior to Spec F, disconnect the choke lead
  13. Remove the three capscrews that secure the air
  14. Remove the two capscrews that secure the choke
  15. Remove the air intake assembly, as described in the
  16. Disconnect the fuel line and governor control lin-
  17. Remove the intake manifold capscrews and lift off
  18. Remove the two intake manifold gaskets and plug
  19. Unbolt the carburetor from the intake manifold. For
  20. Turn both mixture screws in until lightly seated.
