Cummins/Onan — Replacing the Spark Plug

For these Cummins/Onan models: 2.0 KY, 2.5 KY, 2.8 KY, 2.8KVFA26100K.

Applies to: Cummins Onan 2 0 Ky, Cummins Onan 2 5 Ky, Cummins Onan 2 8 Ky, Cummins Onan 2 8Kvfa26100K

Procedure

1. Always thread the spark plug in by hand until it seats, to prevent crossthreading.
2. Torque to 13 lbs-ft (17 N-m). If you don't have a torque wrench, turn the spark plug an additional 1/4 turn, if being reused, or 3/8 to 1/2 turns if new.
