Procedure
- Remove the four screws holding the distributor cap and remove the cap; lift off the rotor.
- Insert two screwdrivers 180 degrees apart under the edge of the breaker cover and pry it off.
- Rotate engine crankshaft until breaker points are at widest separation.
- Loosen the fixed-contact screw and turn the eccentric screw until the correct gap is reached (0.015 inch).
- Tighten the locking screw after adjustment.
