Cummins/Onan RV QD 3200 — Storing the Generator Set

Before you start

  • Store properly if idle for more than 120 days.

Procedure

  1. Change the engine oil and attach a tag indicating oil viscosity.
  2. Disconnect the battery cables (negative cable first) and store the battery per manufacturer recommendations.
  3. Plug the exhaust tail pipe to keep out dirt, moisture, bugs, etc.
  4. Close the fuel supply valve (if so equipped).
