Before you start

  • A hot muffler can cause severe burns; let the muffler cool before removing or installing cleanout plugs.

Procedure

  1. Remove the six screws from the blinds, then remove the blinds.
  2. Remove the cleanout plug.
  3. Start and load the generator set to near full power for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stop the generator set, let the muffler cool, and reinstall the plug.
  5. Install the blinds back in place.
