Before you start
- Automatic operation of the transfer switch can occur, causing personal injury, if the motor disconnect switch is not in the DOWN, manual operation position.
Procedure
- Move the motor disconnect switch to the DOWN, manual operation position.
- Pull the top power pole handle down, disconnecting the power poles from the normal power source.
- Pull the top neutral pole handle all the way down, connecting the load neutral to the emergency neutral.
- Push the lower power pole handle down, connecting the load to the emergency power source.
