Before you start
- Do not pry on cover to remove it.
Procedure
- If flywheel alternator, remove three screws holding stator to gear cover.
- Remove crankshaft key to prevent cutting seal.
- Remove gear cover screws.
- Grasp hub with one hand and tap cover with plastic or soft-faced hammer.
