Before you start
- Liquid LP gas presents hazard of fire or explosion
- Eliminate all sources of ignition before purging
Procedure
- Close shutoff valve at the fuel tank
- Start generator set and run until it runs out of fuel
- Crank engine a few times after it stops to completely purge fuel
- Move RV to well-ventilated location away from ignition sources
- Remove vehicle negative battery ground cable and generator set negative ground cable
- Close fuel shutoff valves at tank and at each appliance
- Slightly open flexible fuel line at solenoid valve to allow gas to escape slowly
- Disconnect fuel supply hose from carburetor and hold clear of set; press primer button until no gas escapes, then reconnect
